EA  :cookieMonster:

In all seriousness, Platinum, thatgamecompany, tinybuild, and Nintendo.

ValVe, Bungie before selling halo, Bohemia Interactive, Square Enix sometimes

I'd put rockstar on here if they made like any of their games on PC

Bungie, CD Projekt, Obsidian, Bay 12, and- that's it pretty much.

Gearbox, it's fun to shoot stuff in the face with plasma guns things.

Valve, Nintendo, and sometimes Rockstar

oh yeah, gearbox too for borderlands and the half life expansions

In all seriousness, I'd say VALVe, Nintendo and their 2nd party developers (except TeamNinja).

In no seriousness, I'd say Bethesda. Bethesda fits perfectly to Yahtzee's interpretation of Metal Gear games: That loveable idiot you just cant stay mad at. He is slow, stupid and always tries way too hard to make something good.

EA, Bugbear, Ubisoft, Reflections, Polyphony Digital, more that I can't think of right now.

bugbear ftw, i love flatout

Sega, Nintendo, GENKI, Rockstar, and some others

Sega, Nintendo, Old Rareware, Nitrome (you saw this coming from my avatar)

The worst game development studios IMO are EA (duh), Bethesda (duh), Rovio (something's wrong when a game you sponsored is better than anything else you could ever make) and WayForward (the LJN of the modern game market)
