Can't change avatar?

Sorry if this is a problem that has been encountered many times before, but I tried changing my avatar but it still shows Bellsprout. What can I do to fix this? I've already tried clearing my cache and it didn't work.

try making your avatar a different format, or 74x74 instead of 75x75

That's typically all that has to be done.  If I don't compress images, they usually don't work until the file size is low.

If the file is above 75px it will stretch into place, and I'm pretty sure the image can be bigger than 5kb. The bellsprout one is 8.9 KB.

actually it was the smf developers and i dunno if i should go over why avatar uploading's broken since it's been explained in like a lot of this kind of thread i think

It was over one month since I tried to upload one and it still didnt happen

I'm not sure what the file size limits are or if they just depend on type or w/e.  I usually just try to make mine between 2kb and 5kb just in case.
