So you find it dumb that the weapons portrayed in this pack use the real names of the guns and calibers? Whats the problem with using the real weapons name? Insert "lO| RgA-373 wat iZ diZ" argument here. The acronyms often represent the model number, year the model was made and sometimes the initials of the creators name. If you have a problem with the name just deal with it and stop being an ignorant and clueless tool. I keep having these arguements with people and each time the responses get more and more handicapped.
In real-life, sure it sounds reasonable. But in real life, mostly people who were trained to know and use guns get them in their hands.
In games like Blockland, there are probably a lot of people who enjoy shooting games but don't understand these 'acronyms'. What if all I know about guns is that they throw bullets? What if I get to choose between XMS-1414 or CTL - 9432978.? How should I know which one is better suited for me? Sure, trial and error, sure, look it up, but honestly, who would do that? It's much easier to just read 'Auto Rifle' and 'Sniper Rifle'. And don't come to me with crap like 'if they dunno then they don deserv!' like people tend to. The players' lack of knowledge is never an excuse for a flawed weapon design. Just look at
this topic and tell me that you can understand and remember every single weapons function after reading it once. When designing a weapon, you should aim at the majority (in game players, not forumers), who mostly don't know anything about weapon names. If you or I understand those names, that doesn't mean everyone does. Stop being an 'ignorant and clueless tool' yourself.
Also, deal with it is never an excuse either and it just makes you look stupid. 'I made a weapon pack that sucks and doesn't work at all, if someone doesn't like it, DEAL WITH IT LOL'
-snip-
That sounds amazing.
EDIT: Went on the testing server. The models look great, the reloading feels a bit clunky at the moment tho. I like what you did with the ironsights, it's better then toggling. Also are the sounds final, or you might change them?
