Poison is okay because in creature mode you spit poison at things.

true, however in Cell stage, its basically pointless. it is WAY too weak and does not billow out enough to be useful, it also only trails behind you.
Save up for it after cell stage, but in cell I'd advise against it unless you can afford multitudes of them.
Actually, go for the spike, its a better weapon/defense. Try putting them in or around the jet and sides.
