Oh my loving god I am laughing so damn hard.
Then you have a weird sense of humor...

Instead of deleting the original when it is hit with the cut-n-paste wand, it is deleted when the new bricks are place.  That would eliminate the possibility of accidental deletions.

But still. What if you want to dupe the selection twice? With your original destroyed, you'd have to either cut it from the build, or rebuild it again.

I like having hard copies in case something goes wrong, or I don't like the placement.
For very, VERY specific reasons this might be useful. But for actually building? Not so much..

Please, if you're going to tell the OP some solution to something that can be done much easier when the requested/suggested mod is posted, don't post.
It's like saying "instead of vacuuming you can just pick up the dirt with your hands"
yeah
He does not want to wand it, he wants a cut and paste tool. Simple enough? Definetly.
Think of all the good things, like chess games, and others.
So please, stop doing this, and either make the mod the OP wants or support it. You can leave negative feedback but be reasonable.

Are you loving me? The points I made are very valid. Chess games are literally the only use for this and as it may be why he needed it, but that doesn't excuse it from being a less than okay suggestion.

I don't like it, I'm allowed to say I don't like it, I even gave explanation to my reasoning as to why I don't like it. It just seems that you can't take an opposing position.

Also, nice bump.

Actually that exists
I don't think he was asking for it to be made...

For the situation that this'd be usable, it would definitely help.  It'd be less error prone to just have a select&move tool.  The extra steps if you don't do them often are more prone to fumbling around and doing something wrong and losing the duplicate and original.

can move a build couple studs over (still within the bounds of the previous build) with the duplicator?
