Author Topic: Anyone recently taken the SATs?  (Read 1797 times)

In the ACT, I'm just going to circle whatever is my lucky letter for the calculus questions lol
I thought ACT was more common sense stuff

ACT has math, reading, english, and science iirc.  There is an optional reading additive which I'm going to do.  I hate the reading comprehension the most.

I took the ACT recently. Scored a 19 (2 higher than average)

I've taken practice ACTs.  The highest I've attained was a 31.

Ok so I dont really need to study and pre-calc stuff.

Possibly? Precalc is sorta just like a higher level of algebra above algebra 2. You need to know how to solve quadratic equations, and other than that the rest should have been covered in your algebra 2 course.

Also, if your parents are loaded, do a prep course. It really does increase your score.

My parents arent loading but I have done some prep courses
They were just run by a couple teachers at school. The math teacher gave us a couple packets which we completed then went over the answers. I probably still have them seeing as I dont throw away any papers. I probably still have the PSATs too haha

In the UK we take tests called SAT's in our sixth year of primary School, around age 10-11 if memory serves. I get the feeling that there may be some confusion.  :cookieMonster:

I saw this thread and was like "Wait, Slayer is 11?"

im actually 6

Earlier this year I took the PSAT
I got the 8th highest score in the school

Never bothered with them, Junior colleges aren't all that bad as long as you take classes that can be transferred over to a 4 year. In the end you save more money than the person who went the 4 year for all four semesters.

I was thinking about doing Community College then transferring but UMASS looks sweet and that it has a lot to offer so thats my first choice. Then maybe University of New Hampshire or something. Really hoping on UMASS though.

I'm taking the SAT's next year. I'm just a bit weary with the math part, I may not score well on it. I don't have a primary college which I'd like to attend yet, beside John Jay (a public law school where I live which I'm considering applying to in a few years).
