See, I played at that same time, and for a long time thought the same as you. The truth is I think we all just grew up and stopped being able to experience runescape the same way as before. Everything was new and there were people all over the world still discovering the thousands of things to do in runescape. Getting lured your first time, making your first 100k, dying from highwaymen, all the while raging like a baby. These things just cant be experienced the same way again. Kind of makes you wish you could go back in time, lose all knowledge about the game, and start anew. Runescape was really fun, and I think if we really wanted it to be, it still would be.

it's all just too different, there's too much.

it was simple, pure, and stuffloads of fun,

they released '07 version a year and a half ago,

but it's just not the same.

Might be able to do zammy boss in gwd. If you get ovl's you could probably do qbd. Depends on your gear. If you have at least bandos you could do kbd fairly easily, though its worth mentioning the drops are fairly stuff.

The new gamemodes "Ironman" and "Ultimate Ironman" are going to be released mid October.

If you don't know what the Ironman challenge is, Its for the player to bee 100% self sufficient. Ironmen aren't allowed to trade with any players unless they're trading quest items for Shield of Arrav, or if they're trading Bonds. Ironmen also can't use the GE for anything but Bonds. Ironmen can't pick up items dropped by other players, And can't loot dead players. Ironmen also have to solo bosses, As well as dungeons in dungeoneering. Players using the Ironman gamemode will also recieve a badge next to their name to symbolize them as Ironmen or Ultimate Ironmen.

The Ultimate Ironman challenge goes by the same guidelines as the normal Ironman challenge however, If you die your account can no longer be accessed unless you buy a second life which you can buy at 1000+ total level for 100k, Or at 1600+ total level for 10m. Ultimate Ironmen also can not use the bank AT ALL and will have to manage everything through their 28 slot inventory.

NOTE: If you buy a second life as an Ultimate Ironman, Your account will still be accessible after you die however it'll be converted into a normal Ironman account.
