honestly i dont understand why people are surprised when their homes are destroyed by tornados when they live in tornado alley

According to Wundermap, my area is in the green when it comes to the severity of the storm, though I'm afraid that's about to change. Though my Dad said that the worst of it wont hit us

I only saw a small tornado that carried house doors and wood. The Time I lived in New York.

It's getting serious now. My phone have just got the alert for a tornado warning. It tells me to find shelter immediately, but I live in an apartment complex with no nearby shelters.

Idk id like to drive around but then again I've never seen a tornado
