Author Topic: Blockland Add-on Archivists [BAAA!]  (Read 7826 times)

*Better OP coming soon, this is a rough draft*

The Blockland Add-on Archivists is a group dedicated to keeping and hosting logs of every addons incase they get lost, deleted, a copy of RTB goes down, or otherwise. I know that with up and coming Steam Workshop support (we can infer that it's coming soon), that this may not be such a necessary thing, and as such the group also intends to be a group to keep a log of the history of Blockland.

If you are interested in joining the BAAA! you are welcome to, there is no necessary application required. But if you have a website, that makes the job much easier. I personally don't right now; the thread here is intended to be one.  However, if you are going to donate an add-on or send one that isn't on the add-ons list, or you just have an old addon to share, please send me a message or post in this thread what the addon is and its general purpose.

Excuse the poor layout and the lame organization of everything. This is still a very work in progress clan that's hoping to get better with more involvement.

More info coming soon, as I said

i have a unused website.

i have a unused website.

It'd be helpful if you'd lend it to the add-on archivists, but I'm not asking anything of you.

I could give you a subdomain of foxscotch.us if you wanted (for example, baaa.foxscotch.us or archives.foxscotch.us or whatever it doesn't matter really)
and I could probably make the actual website part too but idk that might be too much trouble without knowledge of PHP or something

it's fine if you prefer someone else tho. js I'm available

btw if you wanna talk about it more talk to me on steam bc I don't check clan discussion often lol

I have a website (Ipquarx.com) that has 1.5GB of available storage.

Why did you use three As

Why did you use three As
Because BAA doesn't sound like a sheep.

I had a file archive on Dropbox, but so many people were using it that Dropbox closed the link.

I don't know were else to put it and keep it organized.

I have a couple 'lost' add-ons that you guys might want to archive or log or whatever the hell this clan does.

Client-sided altimeter mod (Does not conform with most other altimeters on Blockland, but good for a client needing to know relatively how far away the ground is)

Cessna (Remember that old aviation clan with TomTheGeek? What were they called again? AA.. something. Agh, doesn't matter. They made a cessna but it got lost. Here you go.)

And finally, the old GSF Carrier. (WARNING: DO NOT USE)

Tried to not put things that were in Swollow's RTB archive.

I think that Event_NonHackedVersion in there was failbinned, it's the SupplyDrop mod.

I use the GSF carrier regularly. I don't get problems w/ it.

Me too but a lot of people don't know how to drive it and it ends up lagging their server so they hate it.

I'll post my archive when I get to it, has over 1.5MB of addons
