also what games should i get?

Scanning my Steam Library I can make a few recommendations in no particular order:

Team Fortress 2
   - Free to play, exclusively multiplayer FPS, weapons and cosmetics galore

Risk of Rain
   - Roguelike-like? 2D platformer, different characters, loads of item pickups, has online co-op

Spelunky
   - Roguelike-like 2D platformer

Teleglitch: Die More Edition
   - Retro roguelike-like, top-down shooter, classic insane difficulty

Bastion
   - Story-rich isometric action game, greatest narrator of all time, incredible music

Quantum Conundrum
   - Physics puzzle platformer, second greatest narrator of all time

Super Meat Boy
   - Fast-paced platformer, relatively difficult

The Elder Scrolls series (packs containing them all tend to pop up around Quakecon)
   - Medieval RPGs

The Half-Life series
   - FPSs

Hotline Miami
   - Top-down shooter/beat-em-up, fast-paced, excellent music

Anodyne
   - Top-down surreal adventure game, comparable to SNES/GB-era Zelda, great music

The Binding of Isaac/The Binding of Isaac: Wrath of the Lamb DLC
   - Roguelike-like top-down shooter, totally bizarre content, moderate difficulty

The Cave
   - Sidescrolling adventure game, multiple characters with unique stories

Secret of the Magic Crystals
   - :champ:

Dust: And Elysian Tale
   - Action "metroidvania" platformer, somewhat "deviantARTy"

Jamestown
   - Top-down scrolling shooter

Psychonauts
   - Action-adventure platformer, story-rich, great writing

Rogue Legacy
   - Roguelike-like action platformer with persistent upgrades, incredible music

Terraria
   - Randomly-generated adventure/sandbox game, play alone or online

Thomas Was Alone
   - Story-rich minimalistic 2D platformer

VVVVVV
   - 2D platformer, great music

Fallout 3/Fallout: New Vegas
   - Post-apocalyptic RPGs

Tabletop Simulator
   - Fully customizable board/card/tabletop/etc. game sandbox, play alone or online, still in development

But do yourself a favor and try to wait until July for the Steam Summer Sale before buying anything unless you don't mind spending extra money, you'll generally end up paying 33-75% less for everything during the sale

cod ghosts multiplayer is on a free weekend but youll need about 30gb space

portal 2 and blockland and gmod

get half life, easily some of the better single player games around

Retro City Rampage is like a retro funny top down GTA.

Jedi Knight Jedi Academy
and
Star Wars Battlefront 2 are $3.79 until Monday, along with a lot of other Star Wars games.

Scanning my Steam Library I can make a few recommendations in no particular order:
god regulith stop being so cool
also other games

Don't Starve is pretty good as a survival game, replayable, and not that graphically demanding for your computer made out of tampons and moldy graham crackers

FTL's ok I guess if you like space and flash gordon from star wars exploring a klingon's lightsaber. Singleplayer but still fun for a while

CS:GO is fun with buddies but my advice is to never play against the community because it's full of stuffwhippers and dudes who like played it when they were a baby and meditated under waterfalls and executed ak headshots from the top of a mountain onto a passing mosquito

Garry's Mod is basically essential to your existence because of things like TTT and other games so I recommend you get it if you like fun with friends

Guacamelee is a fun beatdown of people who don't happen to be luchadors
it gets all metriodvania and fun but there are parts where it starts to eat stuff for a little while but the game is good besides some dips

Borderlands 2 is good for things but apparently a sequel is coming out at some point so I'd wait on that one but if you just wanna shoot and also loot with some pallies then it's peachy keen on that front
but remember to share
Cargøn <3 Run-on sentences
that's all i got for now that regu didn't lay down his coolness on

i run on intel graphics btw, and all i get to play due to my stuffty computer is either retro-styled games or low graphic games.

thanks anyways, ill think of trying to get some of these games.
ALL OF THE SONIC GAMES
IF EPICDUKE CAN RUN IT YOU CAN TOO

If you enjoy stealth games, I would highly recommend Dishonored, and although not a stealth game, Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Steam
Gmod
The Orange Box
Terraria
Starbound

If you can only pick one, get Terraria and Team Fortress 2, part of the Orange Box, is free.
