Author Topic: what is it like to be in a public school  (Read 3080 times)

It's not bad if you have some friends, really. It's a bit more stress than homeschooling, but it's also a lot more open.

Public high school can be the best four years of your life if you know how to have a good time and get out often. People look at everyone in school around them so negatively and end up being an unenjoyable outcast for four years.

can be stressing, especially if you've been homeschooled but I like it more than homeschool

I was at homeschool for a year and a half and got really bad at social situations and generally couldn't/didn't speak at school when I went there, I still don't speak but it's not as stressing as it was the first day to be there, also depending on what your school is like, mines let me pick my subjects, I picked my favourite ones and I'm really enjoying myself because of them, also people might say everyone is a richard but this could possibly be different at your school, someone was kind enough to show me around on my first day and everyone is nice to me but your school is not mine so

How can you ever touch a vagina if you don't go to school.
I can't imagine you have a job or hit up the bar scene.

what
memes and such
like for example my school did this dumb harlem shake thing last year and they made us participate in it.

It's really quite bland. You show up at a set time, sit in rows of desks and listen to the teacher talk for a while then fill out a worksheet or two, maybe have a class discussion. The bell rings; you get up and walk to your next class. Repeat for however many classes you have, then go home.

Though, it's more of a game of how many people can you get to like you in every class. Girls are bonus points, and if you forget 'em there's a multiplier based on how attractive they are.

I am part homeschooled and part public schooled (I was fully homeschooled until this semester). I only have one class and it is awesome. My bad experiences have only been on the bus but it depends on the school you go to

interesting brown townogy to say the least lol

well, the public school experience is way more different than the one in argentina

It feels like a stuff place with a lot of stuff people a lot of the time. Though there's still plenty of fun to be had there, how much you enjoy it depends on you.
You go there every day tired and sit around for hours bored out of your mind, but as soon as you graduate, my god do you want to go back.
School life is legit the easiest and most carefree existence.

Idk, I feel like it depends on your personality and lifestyle. I know everybody's name in all of my classes and when I see them out of class I wave at them and talk if they're not busy. Obviously there are people I don't like, but they're definitely the minority. I've always held the social aspect of school higher than the educational aspect of it, so my primary objective in all of my classes is to get to know everyone.

I'm the trivia buff in my class so everybody likes me

We play every Friday and compete with the other classes of the day. I saved the day today making us first

pretty much this
also the school try to do "fad" stuff that just ends up to be cringe central to people like us who know how annoying it is.
that is the silliest thing i heard in a while
anyway, it depends on the school, not every school is that place where youre the superior one because everyone else annoys you

Yeah that's what I meant by the whole "depends on you" thing, personally I had a great time in school. The actual work and assignments were still stuff, but actually going to school and being with people was a lot of fun. Senior year was definitely the best for me, I know a lot of people were having a tough time with trying to figure out what they were doing with their work/life, but I've never worried much about that so I just cruised along.
Sure do miss it.
