Author Topic: New Call of Duty Reveal Trailer "Advanced Warfare"  (Read 8406 times)

Hold your horses guys. We may have something revolutionary for the CoD franchise.
What if You are fighting the US
Such revolution. Wow.
What

Hiding text is rude dude

Yes, it totally has nothing to do with the fact that the series in general has an extreme redundancy complex, or that the textures on objects look like jpgs. Nah, everyone just likes to be cool. That was the only COD game I really spent more than 20 minutes playing. I liked how it was a completely reasonable strategy to go knife only. Legit got tac nukes dat way.
some of the textures probably ARE jpeg. there's nothing inherently wrong with that. also mw2 was lame, nuts 2 tactical nukes. cod4:mw is the way to go     :-)

For once, I agree with you on something.

Yes, Call of Duty likes to reuse textures and sounds, but why fix something if it's not broke?

Also black ops and mw3 sucked, and I don't want to play ghosts.

Oh boy, using the single player as an excuse to justify a title without actually bringing anything new to the table just focus on multiplayer without bringing anything new to the table either. Meanwhile people are calling eachother a loving camping hacker camper noob.

Modern Warfare 3 was the worst in the series.  Sledgehammer Games has not really made anything else apart from helping work on Modern Warfare 3. In my opinion that brings up some red flags (unless they just worked on the Survival Mode because that was the only thing that was good about that piss poor game).

Alright seriously

I'm never buying a Call of Duty game ever again. I stopped at black ops 2 and thats where I will stay.

Also trailer trope list:

wub type music: Check

Evil republican monologist: Check

Short cut scenes of robo crap: Check

Dystopian theming: DOUBLE DOUBLE DOUBLE TRIPLE CHECK

My friend only saw the trailer and he's already fanboying over it.
He thinks it's going to be the best damn game to be released ever.
I'm arguing against him and his hype is resulting in him asking me if I'm mental for thinking that getting hype over the first trailer is a terrible idea.
I see marketing has done it's job.

I dont get it the game didnt look bad
This. The game looks pretty cool
I mean if the gameplay is different (which it looks like it) then I'd play it

The game LOOKS cool but this is cherry picking. Have you guys never learned their methods of getting people hyped?

The campaign AGAIN will probably be short and stupid (but putting the US as the enemy gj, that is what I picked up). The multiplayer will be a little tiny tweak with a tiny bit of features. That is it.

Battlefield 4 was complete and utter stuff. I hope nobody actually expects to use that as an insult to the new COD, right?

I mean if the gameplay is different (which it looks like it)

It didn't look bad. The gameplay is kinda supposed to be similar. BF4 was the exact same loving thing as BF3 but with a different story and different textures and guns and all that snazzy shiznick. forget a new engine, it even looked worse than BF3.

Anyways. The little firstperson scenes they showed looked pretty cool.

I actually don't think it looks pretty decent. I'm definitely digging the Exo suits, though.

The Battlefield series does not have:
Multiple developing teams working on the clock to milk the money cow for Activision.
A release every year.
Multiple and repetitive campaigns.
Hype trailers that have wubwubwubwubwubwubwub.
A large amount of mic cigarettes.

To bold:
What the forget is there left to change in order to keep it a Battlefield game? It uses different engines. It uses different textures. It uses different ideas and mechanics that fit into the Battlefield name.

COD has had the same textures, and has been using the same engine, and has been using the same loving template for all of their campaigns and multiplayer games.

For starters, CoD never had this.
