personally i have no experience with fancy or cURL

i cannot really do those. actually, really i'm only learning programming for a few things:
a. helping friends with projects
b. small amounts of web development
c. improving my attention span
d. getting girls

edit: please no getting pusillanimous individual jokes, i really wanna kill myself when i see those.

what do you mean? you can't or you don't want to? in that case, you should pick a language for the task that you wish to fulfill, learn it, and then apply it. there is little to be gained from learning a language for the sake of learning it.
