why the red hammer

Because I'm pretty sure that's what everyone's supposed to think of. It was the first and two other people posted it. It might have to do with how we associate red with destruction, perhaps because the hammer is strongly associated with the Soviet which are strongly associated with red, perhaps because the hammer kill icon in Blockland is red.
