
What is Syberia?Syberia is a Steampunk point-and-click adventure game developed by french company Microïds and published by the Adventure Company* in 2002. The game was written by Benoît Sokal, who also wrote Amerzone three years before.
*published in the US. Everywhere else was self-published.
Basic StorySyberia follows the story of Kate Walker; a business woman traveling to a village in France called Valadilène with the task of officially purchasing a toy company called Voralberg Industries. Upon arrival, she discovers that the factory owner, Anna Voralberg, has passed away and her brother Hans, who was presumed to be dead, is still alive and is the rightful heir to ownership of the factory. Thus, Kate must travel across Europe and Asia to find Hans and seal the deal.
SequelsThere are currently two finished games following the story of Syberia and a third one is being developed. Official release of the third game is expected some time this year or next year.
