To be honest, the idea of being sent back in time is what makes it scary for me. SCP-173 is just your average run-of-the-mill "ded. nawt beeg surprais" type monster.

Not to mention the eternal loving flamewar between the Doctor Who and SCP fans over which blink-and-die monster came first - which is actually how I found out about and got interested in SCP, since I was a Doctor Who fan first.

I somehow doubt that would be your biggest fear if you came face-to-face with one. Maybe now, sure, but in the moment? Probably not... Too far into the uncanny valley.

The ocean. That stuff is scary. I don't mean like when you are on the beach or near it. I mean when the sea floor is thousands of feet below you.

This, and all the fish that live in the ocean. Whenever I think of what it would be like if the ocean dried up, I imagine a ton of fish, big and small, flopping all over what used to be a seafloor. It disturbs me to no end.

3 whales were not saved by this and 2000 dolphins had their sonars knocked out and beached themselves. Would have been safer to explode it in Africa on a nïggėr slum that way no harm and some good would have come out of it.
