your images are basically National Disasters let me help you

1. first create the 100x50 image and draw the scenery / characters on it. do not resize it yet.
2. after you finish the image, you resize it to 400~600% the original size using Nearest Neighbor (looks like this on Paint.NET)
3. ???
4. done! save the image and upload it.

in other news i updated my character design a bit

edit: oh I didn't know those were thumbnails.
why would you use thumbnails, just link the picture itself. also I'd strongly advice against rotating / resizing the characters - they end up looking bad and mismatched most of the time.
