Author Topic: I found my hidden research folder  (Read 6571 times)

Most people hide it so immature people don't find it and then bug the hell out of you over it.
you mean "so mommy and daddy don't find it" right
We've all been there.

I'm almost 18 going to a highschool where everyone snickers if you so much as say 'wood'

I just have mine in a hidden folder with a really boring name like "stack-trace overflow" or some stuff like that, I don't really worry too much that anyone in my house will even go in my room while I'm not in it but I do have younger siblings so it's more of a "just in case" sort of thing.

Besides that I don't really agree with leaving my research lying around on my desktop, for me it'd be kinda like if I printed the pictures out and left them lying all around my bedroom floor

I keep my research hidden in a folder called "Do-It-Yourself Projects"

Since turning 18 I purged my computer of all my inappropriate erotica.
But before then my folders were stored under some 7-8 other folders and some technical sounding gibberish name so no one would want to mess with it.

~sneaky!

also it's kind of a dumb trick, but I feel like it would kinda work on my parents

I hid my research folder somewhere. I set up an environment variable so I can access it with %PRON%

Why not encrypt your folders with 7-zip?

I disguised mine as DAT files in some random game.
