I can bypass my schools firewall just by clicking the link I want to go to until it works
they installed the firewall back in 2002 so it's bound to be slightly broken now

anyway my school blocks some searches on any site and some youtube channels all for the same reason: "research"

At my high school, I actually enjoyed the filter. Everyone thought I was a loving 1337 h4x0r because I could bypass it with Tor since the IT guys didn't give a stuff. The only reason they added the filter was because my IPT class was hilarious and bludged constantly.

At my college, the filter is fairly free, since art students need to regularly tap many, *ahem* creative sources. That said, I haven't completely verified yet, but it seems as though you get booted off the network for about 10 minutes if you attempt to use a P2P client (specifically torrent programs).

using tor will shut off internet access to your system and alert the IT department.

The school I should be going to soon has a strange firewall. It doesn't block this forums but it blocks a bunch of other stuff.
Teachers claim that they can even see the history on our devices, pfft.. right.

My school seems to have only blocked Imgur for "adult content"
I use to be able to bypass it with https but that's broken too now.
