Im wondering if anymody can make a server mod that gives random crits on any weapon like a crit rate on every weapon

You can't have an FPS style gamemode that's based on luck. That would be incredibly dumb.

team fortress does it but team fortress does it in such a way that doing more and more damage causes you to crit more and more

its less luck and more reward for being overpowered

isn't there a critical add-on or something so when you shoot someone's head (Or other parts) its automatically crit?

If anyone wants to do it the TF2 way, it's based on how much damage the player dealt (up to 800) in the last 20 seconds. Standard weapons start at a 2% crit rate and get a scaling bonus of up to 10% at the dps cap to hit a maximum of 12% crit rate. Melee weapons start at a 15% crit rate and get a scaling bonus bonus of up to 45% at the dps cap to hit a maximum of 60% crit rate. The crit chance is checked against before every shot is fired and a successful roll causes the following shot to be critical. For weapons that shoot rapidly like a minigun, it's checked against every 1 second, and a successful roll gives crits to that weapon for the next 2 seconds.

I think this would be kinda cool but it would be bad for guns that fire quickly, like guns akimbo.

like, pretty much every single RPG ever, for example

Critical hits deal 3x the weapon's base damage and aren't subject to damage falloff (which melee isn't anyway).

So melees with no damage mods will deal 195 with a crit, and you as a Demoman have 175 HP when you spawn.

I never knew about this. Suddenly my opinion of crits went from "complete bullstuff" to "still complete bullstuff, but tolerable."

this is because good snipers (as in, the ones that would notice you and thus attack you all with the machete) are terrifying damage-dealing monstrosities and had a high chance to crit you by default (since he was using a melee weapon) stacked on top of the additional bonus he got from doing all the damage he did previously to people who werent you

they probably have like a one in four chance to murder your stuff in, either fight the sniper from mid range or forgetin bail

Also I want it to have a rtb option for setting the crit chance
EDIT: also one for setting the percentage of extra damage done when crit.
