Author Topic: Blender: Messed up model shading in-game  (Read 11046 times)

Okay so, there isn't really much to say. I made and exported the models as dts using blender, they were made into an item, and they turn out like this:

The problem is, they're supposed to look like this:

I have tried exporting multiple times, I've tried resetting normals, they just won't come out right.

With shaders enabled it's even worse.

It's probably because you were either moving/scaling the model in object mode, or you used the exporter's scaling settings.

I don't recall scaling in object mode, I always did it in edit mode. I didn't use the exporter's scaling either. But if I did, is there any way for me to fix them?

If you open the transform panel in object mode, it will tell you if you've scaled it in object mode. If not, reset it, and rescale it in edit mode.

Also make sure you've turned off double-sided faces.

your object scale values are forgeted up

spawn a new mesh (any mesh, doesn't matter), join them keeping the attributes of the new object, then go into edit mode and delete the mesh

also as a general rule keep double sided faces off at all times and check your model's normals as you're going
