It can cause physical things. Some people have threw up in their sleep, suffocating themself in their own vomit.

!!!111!!!

for three weeks two months ago I had highly disturbing, violent, and gory nightmares. Turns out the cause of the nightmares was extreme anxiety; I fixed this by organizing everything I own, choosing to give less of a forget about certain issues/situations, and focusing on only a couple things at a time instead of everything

but your case is a little different since it's the same violent dream occurring repeatedly-- so it's either a combination of high levels of anxiety and a specific personal issue, or the onset of a psychological disorder. But I'm not a psychiatrist soooo idk

I don't have nightmares

Most people have had that dream. I have. My dreams never make any sense though

When I'm under stress, my dreams are very realistic that, when I wake up, I have no loving clue what is real and what was a dream.

These night-horrors began a week or two before christmas at a time when I had zero stress. Most of my stress has built up from seeing repeat dreams

sleep paralysis is a common byproduct of lucid dreaming

Sleep paralysis happens every night; it's what keeps you from acting out your dreams in your sleep. The thing about lucid dreaming (or what you're thinking of is reaching lucidity by using the WILD technique) is that you're not supposed to be awake during sleep paralysis.

Fun stuff.

Also, on a more related note...

OP, did you or your parents bring anything new into the house when your night-terrors started? Any object at all, large or small?
