Depends on the aspect. I've heard the story is poorly written and complete nonsense.

As for personal experience, I've only played 5 minutes of it because I went in expecting a shooter and got a rhythm game with guns.
I normally do not care about the story if its a war game like battlefield, I would rather shoot at things.

There was shooting? I remember muzzle flashes in slow motion but most of it happened following some flashing button prompts instead of actually letting me control a character.

why does it matter you clearly understand my intentions
trivial pointing out at best
but now you know
and you won't use it that way again, in a more serious environment, hopefully
using a web browser shows how lazy there ui designers are, we shouldn't have to use a browser to join servers.
and I don't get this
I mean, do you know how much work definitely went into that website? and it's not even like they didn't design a UI for it, how do you think the console versions work? they have menus just like every other game. they did what they did because they thought it was better, not because they're lazy

half life 2 beta

do you see how much things have changed

there is a possibility that a lot of things will change throughout battlefield hardline's beta, or i'm just outdated on the word

betas aren't just for fixing bugs and stuff
iirc someone leaked the ENTIRE GAME while it was in beta and thus valve started again from the ground up.

I've played the trainstation portion, and it was way more eerie/scary than any portion of HL2. IMO the beta version would've been much better than what valve delivered. But that may just be me.

actually from what i've heard, it was restarted because the beta version was buggy and glitchy as hell, and the leak only made it worse, so i guess both sides are kind-of right + half the maps were literally unplayable

and I agree with you 100% there, the beta version would've been a lot more better than what we have now in my opinion.

No matter how hard you work at it, you can't polish a turd, and Battlelog is a hell of a stinker.
Misplaced effort is just as bad, if not worse, than a lack of effort.

what

it's all goddamn loving boring-ass quicktime events with barely any shooting what's so hard to understand about that

the battlefield 3 campaign was actually pretty good for the early missions because it showed a range of different military activities and it wasnt totally focused on SECURE THE NUCLEAR WARHEAD GOD DAMN TERRORISTS

like the desert tank mission was forgetin baller and the jet mission was cool too even if you werent actively flying

The tank mission was boring as forget and the jet one was the worst FPS level I've ever played.

the jet one was the worst FPS level I've ever played.
well, at least it was realistic

well, at least it was realistic
forget realism, games should be fun Sitting in the back seat of a jet and staring at other jets while you wait to be allowed to click is not fun.

oh yea im sure you preferred the later levels filled with qtes over the tank level right
