Dude, do you know what annexation is?
The taking of land either through diplomacy or total war. I'm talking more about the kind of annexation that happened to Texas. they got their independence, asked to be taken in by a country etc.

Annexation for me right now just means asking them to let us claim their land, in return giving them many benefits.

Alright, then

Confederacy agrees to this, and is willing to supply you with their guns and military and produce as long as you give them the benefits of your economy and such.
Texas doesnt really want to do anything

added some more notable cities that I forgot

Ok, well, good on the Confederacy! Many immigrants move into the Confederacy, and we give them the benefits of the economy (many of the GAL's most important factories and companies open up second hubs there, and many new jobs are created there. Education is also brought up, but it's up to the Confederacy.)

Anglo-Stellastria begins sending cargo ships to the ruins of Canada to begin re-colonization.

Also, may I suggest coloring nation-allied NPC's similar to their allied country? Like, shading California and Texas a desaturated teal color?

Well what if they're in a huge alliance chain?

I suppose you're right, but I imagine it would make it clearer the groups that the nations are in (such as the Anglo-Austral-American Alliance).

I'll work up something later.

...?
I'm good at bb code formatting.  There could probably be a good way to manage this that avoids confusing color combinations, shades and hues, if Crispy won't mind me making new formats for the OP and the reserved post, then I can make the magic happen.

Besides, the nations being gray helps to distinguish between NPC and player nations.

On another subject, Crispy, since grunter is gone and Conservatia has similar interaction styles to my usual Erinaum, may I control Conservatia for the time until grunter returns from his vacation?

I will be a good keeper of Conservatia, and I'm pretty sure grunter knows I respect his sovereignty.  (Also, I'm pretty sure he could void any of my Conservatian actions when he returns, since I would be acting on his behalf.)

I have something planned

I'd rather just leave Conservatia alone. You could, i guess, but dont do anything that could severely affect anything

Understood.

I'll still reformat the OP and such to make it easier to read just because.  I'll PM you the code with the appearance preview later.

Introducing: Alliance map!

Alliances will be shown just like how nations are shown in the OP.

Darker colors are still the same alliance, it just makes it easier to see different nations
Grays are unaligned.

That's confusing as forget.  And it doesn't even indicate joint alliance chains in the slightest.
