why not make a drydock ship
Like a mobile drydocks?
are you prepared to make it the size of a city?? because uhh... this thing's big

Have one diver search for a hard drive of sorts, have the other investigate some more around the vessel.

The sub drones enter the craft through the hatch and use sonar to locate the marines.  They begin approaching them.

Can you give can estimate in tons?  For all I know this can be like the size of a stadium or the loving death star.  All we know is that its floating and that it isn't big enough to cause tsunamis, or to continue through the ocean to break the crust.

And no, I'm not building a mobile drydocks.

Production continues on the tugs.  2 more are added to the project, to be completed the following year.

EC jets buzz the area again, giving another warning.

I'm sure space stations in the future have some sort of equipment to de-orbit and land in oceans without causing catastrophic damage.

The divers take the hard drive. The technology bears a striking resemblance to computers found around the world, except more advanced, enforcing the possibility that this thing is human in origin.

Another diver looks around and finds a picture of a child and woman drilled to a desk. Both human, so more proof. The background of the image appears to be metallic.

They stumble upon what appears to be an operations center or control area or something. Th-

Transmission cut off. Squares of the steel hull of the thing kinda slide away to reveal some rocket thrusters, which pull out and aim down. This is only enough thrust for the sphere to lift itself out of the water and float against gravity. Water, what little there was, is seen pouring out of the open hatch. The divers and other debris are scattered on the surface of the water. The divers appear to have died, most likely from hitting the walls and the debris when they were being drained out of the sphere.

A large round thruster thing starts revealing itself at the bottom of the sphere. It is then seen starting to glow then the sphere... disappears.

Hours later a radio message is beamed - from the moon - to all known superiors of nations/organizations.

"No doubt you have heard of a strange thing that happened at your ocean a little while ago. I'd like to make it clear that we never intended any harm or discomfort in your people. We gave up hope for humanity on earth, but now we know that humanity is still thriving and ever flurishing

Here is our explanation for what you have seen these past years. Back in the 1980s the United States of America set out to do an ambitious project. They aimed to build a self-sustaining base on the moon. They succeeded in doing so, and kept it a secret for reasons unknown to us. The original crew consisted of one hundred brave men and women. Today, there are well more than four hundred. We have managed two generations of scientific discovery and exploration.

We wish to return to the human race. Share our knowledge with the world. Please, take interest, and we will reveal everything to you."

The message ends.

A Navy commando team off the carrier are sent on an inflatable armed with an m134 to retrieve the divers.

Meanwhile, at the presidential palace in Johannesburg, a government UH60 lands on the president's abode. A man with a briefcase handcuffed to his wrist is seen walking briskly in with a 2 man-in-suit escort.

A return message consisting of basic information of earth, it's situation since the late 20th century to now, and of the recent situation of the spacecraft.

The radio message is shot from a station in Ysterplaat AFB.

SAR invites all leaders of nations who aren't in the IC to Johaneesburg to discuss possible alliances.

And lastly, SAR claims all the land in between us. Police forces are sent/it's divided into sectors yadda yadda.

time to destroy the moon

time to destroy the moon
because that will totally benefit you and not require you to use up more resources than you have

and it's obviously not against the rules amirite??

lol

I think you missed that was a joke

The tow hooks on the Ox-Team detach to prevent it from being pulled up into space 'n stuff.

The Ox-Team project is scrapped, and the Conservatian government is partially reimbursed.  The rest of the money received is injected into the Hive Program, for joint Conservatian and SC improvement.  SC prepares an envoy to meet the men at the moon before they are received on Earth.  Two diplomats, one from SC and one from Conservatia are briefly trained to be astronauts so that they can deal with conditions in space.

The IC ships would have fired but they were obviously stunned by the UFO taking off.

E:  also the rest of Europe is conquered.

when did conservatia have a space program

Firing on the thing would not have really done anything
