the forget guys? What kind of laptops do you have? I have a loving toshiba laptop for gods sake and I can run BF3 max settings, BF4 medium settings, and Rust max settings.

edit: It's also 3-4 years old.

can it run bl with shaders
or arma 3

It can run blockland with max shaders and slight but noticeable fps drop.

Edit : It's a Toshiba Satellite L750, Though this version seems odd from the ones on google, this one is i7 (8CPU's) and the amount of Ram is different.

I can run this BF3 on like high setting, and it looks BEAUTIFULL

if you can run bf3 max settings on a laptop that is extremely impressive - it probably heats up a ton i'd imagine
My inspiron 1720 was released 7 years ago, but it can still somehow play medium end games so im okay with that

I always play my shooters on low, pretty much no matter what. I'll up the view distance if I need to, but I want the best possible fps.
