Author Topic: I am going to be learning how to bike this weekend!  (Read 2336 times)

I am really excited. I know this may come out wrong, but I was taught how to ride as a toddler and kid but I never got off of a tricycle and never moved to a regular bike without support. My balance has always been horrific, and this is a great opportunity. My motor skills are piss-poor. Believe it or not, a friend found a bike tutor (which I find to be ridiculous but it can help people). I really hope this works out for me, as biking could become my new hobby - especially for a hot summer day!

Wish me luck! And do you bike?

no, don't like biking

I know how to bike but I don't hardly ever do it

wear a helmet unless you like cracking your head open on concrete
start off on grass and eventually graduate to that level

A lot of people find it boring, but I live in a large urban area and now there are bike lanes and parks all across the city (especially where I live in Manhattan). In a suburban area it may get boring, but in NYC there is so much to see especially by bike.

I will, and that's where I'll be tutored (in an open grassy park).

Once you get really good at keeping balance, you can stand off of the saddle while pedaling. That's a good way to apply more force or power for slopes.

when i had to learn how to ride a bike i had to train on a princess bike

why dont you like bike, ike mikeson?

When I learned how to bike it was kind of a difficult thing to learn for a while, then I got the hang of it over a few tries. Now I can go 35 or so mph at max effort
Best of luck to you caribou!

I use my bike to go to the other block and buy some chicken legs.

talking about legs, much blood came out from them in 3 years of bike.

i bike but it's really annoying and stings when you get these little cuts from your hands being on the handlebars for a long time]
it doesn't bleed, it's like raw skin and stings like hell

I bike a lot, it's really fun in my opinion.
