Call yourself Steele.

You are Markus Steele. You are a drifter on the dead world and ironically named planet of Litany of Hope.

You turn the AC on and sit in the command seat. You turn the tank's electronics on. The map is pinned to the hull in front of you. Someday you'll buy a GPS, or something. You know your current position. There are a few towns nearby.

Towns Nearby

Valley Creek [Agriculture Town] 15mi

Millsburgh [Industrial Town] 10mi.

Bard [Trade Town] 23mi.

Head to Bard, see what you can find there.

You arrive at Bard without an issue.

There is an armorer, repair shop, bounty office, bar, general store, and tank depot.

Fuel 473/500

Get drunk as forget at the bar

Post Apocalyptic, Tank.. hmm.... We must be in BattleTanx.

You park the tank and head into the bar with ten dollars and your gun. There are few people here. A bartender is working the bar.

What to do?

Talk to the Bartender. Ask him if he's seen anything suspicious recently.

Who would drive a tank publicly in a wasteland?

Anyways, chat with the bartender and
Ask him if he's seen anything suspicious recently.

Who would drive a tank publicly in a wasteland?

Tanks are the main method of transportation, because of the protection they provide, they are more versatile in the rugged terrain than wheeled vehicles. There are still wheeled vehicles in this world though.

"Welcome to Bard Saloon, pick ur poison stranger,"

"I'll just have a hard ice tea, what's the talk of the town?"

"Well, the folks 'round here been talking the normal talk, complainin' of the usual petty thieves, although, there's been rumors of some northern gang comin' down here and razin' the town's shops and supplies, though that rumor's been floatin' round for weeks, n' nothins' happened. If you lookin' for cash, it's probly better that you head on down to the bounty office so you can cash in on any bandit's you's killed."

Go see who is wanted, and pick off the easiest ones.

How did the world end up like this, though?

You pay the bartender and go to the bounty office, in it, the walls are lined with the papers of criminals. The clerks asked what bounties you wish to take. He comes back with some low-level bounties.
