i heard from my same source a couple of important things:

- sonic still sucks
- ledge grabbing is nerfed to all hell (delay time for grabbing it again, no snapping to the ledge when you get near it)
- pacman is slow as hell but his moves connect really nicely
- villager will not die without a ridiculous fight
