If pinoocchio says "My nose will now grow!"

Will his nose grow? Or will it not?
well, seeing that there is no being on earth who can make his nose grow, this "pinoocchio" cannot make his nose grow at all. your riddle simply makes no sense.
now, if this was "pinocchio" we were talking about, then yeah, this would be very mind-bending. but this "pinoocchio" fellow?
not a chance.

It wouldn't grow. He's not lying, he's just wrong. If I said "I'm going to win the lottery tomorrow" and I didn't, that's not a lie, because I was asserting that I would win, not that I was guaranteed to win.

But it does mean he isn't telling the truth, which is enough to make it grow. And besides, by that logic, lying at all is "just being wrong".

"my nose will now grow" is a lie because unless he says it, it will not grow. therefore it will grow and he is a loving liar
