I'd appreciate the World Cup more if FIFA weren't the most corrupt organisation in the world. It just takes money to buy them out, and then you end up with countries like South Africa and Brazil, where they have to seriously struggle to create the stadiums and infrastructure, and Qatar where apparantly no one considered the fact that it would be very hot in the desert.
It's not like there are numerous developed countries all around the world who also bid to host, who happen to have substantial infrastructure and numerous world-class stadiums.
I'll be surprised if there aren't foreign visitors killed in Brazil in any of the riots that have been happening all the way up until the start of the game.
