Author Topic: What were all the quotes on the old Blockland Website?  (Read 1810 times)

Remember? Under the blockland logo there was like some quotes that were randomly picked to show up in the web page

one of most popular was "Play it or I will kick your dog" and another was like "Rome wasn't built in a day"

Edit: Thank you Doomonkey, this nostalgic moment will be with us forever
The 10k IDs were really frightening.

Slogans:
"A million times better than that 'Tom Goes to the Mayor' show."
"Half the cost of a single blank Blu-Ray R disc."
"Don't bother me about the website."
"Securely on the left side of the uncanny valley."
"Chuck Norris CAN put a brick inside another brick."
"It's not that nice outside..."
"Doing nothing for world hunger."
"Rome wasn't built in a day."
"Build on the backs of the poor!"
"Serious. Business."
"Game 3.0 - 2 years ahead of schedule."
"If fun were bricks, this game would have twice as many bricks."
"It is easier to destroy than to create. This game is hard."
"Play it or I will kick your dog."

This seems to be about it.

Oh my god, I remember this... it was before the v15 update. Back when the website was made of a bunch of bitmaps glued together.

Build on the backs of the poor!

You win.

The one I remember most is "If fun were bricks, this game would have twice as many bricks."

At the time that was on the website, the brick limit was 128,000. Now it is 256,000. Does that mean fun is bricks?

No, because that statement is not a biconditional (it doesn't use "if and only if" or "iff").

I think one of them was something like "It's easier to destroy than to create - this game is hard"

That's not the one we're talking about. The one we're talking about is from ~2009, it was covered in blue gradients and had that flash text randomizer at the top.

i actually just tried to play that v10 release
and it won't work D:
still i remember those back then

EDIT: they work but they close shortly after
