Author Topic: Is LEGO Minifigures Online an insult to gaming?  (Read 7089 times)

It's beyond obvious that it's a game meant for tablets/mobile platforms.
I think that's pretty much the whole thing that I can see bad with it, for a mobile game this would definitely be above-average. But until then, this should not be advertised as a "PC" title as it clearly isn't as such, it's a port, and it's a very bad one at that.

If you die, you lose the ability to use your 3 characters you were playing with for either 4 minutes or you have to spend 20 diamonds to get them to respawn. 20 diamonds per minifigure. Better hope you have other good minifigs if you die, or are willing to wait a bunch or spend your hard earned diamonds.

:C

It's a game aimed for kids. What the hell do you expect.

a game would have to be really really good to be on par with or better than LU, IMO. Let's be honest, none of us here expected this game to be on par with LU.

but it feels like they didn't try

I was a beta tester for LU. It was pretty damn good (besides from the poorly done building mode), and I was sad to see it shut down, as I never played it past the beta. This game looks a lot worse, both graphically and from a gameplay standard.

I made it way to far in LU for it to be canceled for this. I started during beta and made it so far, then they canceled it.

Chances are this game will probably end up "not making enough money" and they end up closing it too.

I tried this.
Click. Click. Click. Hoooooollld. Click.
This sums it up.

"watch out this boss is harder"
Did you mean, he just has more HP and does more damage? Because all I had to do was left click.

this is the motion control and touch screen and casual gamers that is hurting the industry.
they cater to them with stuff like this.

i loved the building in LU.
you could make anything and save it as an inventory item to sell or trade to others. they could then pop it on their plot or recycle it for the bricks used.

As I've played another 20 minutes, I must say, I'm actually enjoying this. I'm never been super good at video games in general, so the simple controls and somewhat relaxed gameplay is nice. I like games that are somewhat easy. And so far this has been just that.

Somewhat easy? All you do is left mouse button, sometimes 1 2 or 3 to fix/break things.

Like, you don't even right click, it's useless.

Every button is useless

left click is love

left click is life
