All the teams compete each day to get the most points.
Points are earnt by crafting Steam Summer Sale badges and regular game badges.
Steam Summer Sale badges are earnt from buying games (every $10 earns 1) and voting 3 times in the community vote.

The team with the most points at the end of the day wins.
30 of the users who contributed (gave points) on the winning team are chosen at random and get 3 of their wishlist games given.
All other winning contributers get 2 extra Steam Summer cards.
All others on the winning team get 1 extra Steam Summer card.
