Oh right, learnt how points stealing works.

There's an  uncommon reward, presumably for crafting the Summer Adventure badge, whereby you can earn either a "1,000 Point Boost" token or a "Steal 1,000 Points" token.
The Boost will obviously give your team an extra 1k points, while the Steal takes 1k points away from another team (I don't know if it's random or you choose).

They're on the market at the moment, with both Boosts selling for £11+ and Steal's selling for £13+.

There are also 500pt tokens for those as well as colored tokens that allow you to switch to the corresponding team

Pretty cool.
I knew about the team tokens, but the info on the Teams page made it sound like you could choose which team you moved to (which I suppose is technically true since you choose to use a specific token if you have it).
I didn't know there were 500pt tokens.

I only knew about the 1k tokens because I was searching for Steam Summer 2013 cards, to see if they were still available to purchase (since they got really cheap) to make a batch of badges and I found it at the end of the list.
My friend needs to get to level 8 so he can get his cards from the community votes. :3

What's with the teams? The store page says nothing about it.

nevermind
