James Rolfe has been uploading AVGN videos for about 8 years now

8 years

he takes time for each and every episode and honestly he deserves more viewers

i mean dont get me wrong, 1.5 million subs is a lot, but thats not a big increase over 8 years unlike skydoesminecraft who has over 10 million over how many years or whatever (can't be more than 5 since minecraft didnt come out until 2009) and all he does is upload loving minecraft videos

PeanutButterGamer is an example of a guy who deserves more views but doesn't get any. He has good videos yet is left with only 736,000 subscribers.

736,000 is impressive, but it's nothing compared to the 7-digit and 8-digit numbers of some of the Youtubers who put little to no effort into their videos and still somehow make their way to the top.

For forget sake, the reason they're so popular is because of YouTube promoting them if they have fame. YouTube used to be a place about sharing videos and getting yourself noticed and now it's just turned into a circle jerk of youtubere who have hardly any talent. Hell, YouTube even treats some of their less popular youtubers like absolute stuff. Example being Bl00dblitz or robs rants. I'm not saying the more popular people are bad, I'm saying YouTube is promoting them. Like those recommended videos they give, it's because they're promoting them because they make the most money off of them. So it's basically an unreadable system where YouTube is the winner either way

what really irks me about youtube is that what's popular is chosen by young children
I have younger siblings and I've seen their friends and they're all into Pewdiepie and all that stuff because it appeal to them: the new majority
