Why is Ocarina of Time 3DS Version So Expensive?

IIRC, its like 35 or 40 dollars. Why is this? The game is like 16 years old. That's as much as a new 3DS game.

It's a remastered version of the original, not a straight port, so its technically only 3 years old.

Just go and buy the original N64 game if the 3DS version is too pricy for you.

Because the eShop never lowers it's prices for it's major titles, ever.

You should be able to find it a little bit cheaper in shops and online. Amazon is showing it at about £25 (used) to £33 new, while Game.co.uk (UK games retailer) is selling for £33.99 new online, but may be cheaper in shops or pre-owned.

That's a drop of about £9+ from release, which was a couple years ago?
It's not an amazing drop in price, but it's really Nintendo's fault, since they're clearly still supplying it at a high price.

Yeah, you definitely can't expect any games from Nintendo's major series, like Mario Bros, Zelda, Donkey Kong or any others to go down in price on the eShop.
They really waste that facility. Their terrible prices just drive away business there, when it should be a really great service.

where else are you going to get it???

Every pawn shop I went to while looking for an SNES usually had no consoles, but if they did, the N64 was around the same price, Game Stop sure as hell doesn't sell it

Comic books stores, flea markets, garage sales. Nine times out of ten if you buy online, you're paying too much.

I agree, but I only use eshop for the virtual console or 3DS-ware. I like to stick to the tradition of having my major games on cartridges.

How did they remaster it? From what I know, they just ported it to the 3DS and added the stuffty 3D feature nobody cares about.
