There are ways (can't remember sorry) to make your router reject ping requests. Or at least reduce the maximum bytes the router will accept for ping requests.

There's no way blocking ICMP is going to protect you from a DoS. In fact, blocking requests on any port will not help if the attacker has more upload speed than your download speed.

Well how else would I prevent it? I'm pretty sure my ISP would be able to do it. I most likely won't start one just because Hammereditor5 has been so much help and i dont want to compete. But if it would take some load off, Hammer i could set up a datacenter. I have access to "Biz Class" servers. Like my HP

Multi millionaires can't even prevent it. I've seen many large companies and games harmed by DDoSes.
