Author Topic: has anyone done the stanley parable yet?  (Read 1585 times)

if not... why not?

because i'd love to help or even start this project. i was playing it earlier, and it seems like something that would be fairly easy to recreate in Blockland using events.

iirc boink is creating one

iirc boink is creating one
stuff... i'd love to help on that. i'm not too good at building nor eventing, but I can sure as hell make a story

some guy made something about it in gallery

Block king124 is making one

The biggest feature of the Stanly Parable that made it good, was the narrator and his humor.

I hope you aren't thinking about doing it without audio or ripping the audio of the original game.
Blatantly copying games is just the worst and removing a key element out will just ruin the game.

So unless you are recording entire new story with dry British humor and a good voice actor with a pleasant voice and turning all the audio in .ogg's (of less than 1MB). I don't see a good future for your game.

Plus, don't forget that players need to download all the audio when they join your server too.

well, my gamemode Tomb Adventure

is basically the stanley parable, it's got an evented narrator and several different endings

also I made that old version before the HD Remix was released

^ well stuff mine's obsolete

I didn't know what the stanley parable was when I first read this, but I ended up watching like 6 hours of the game on youtube. It's a lot like Zealot's tomb adventure.

This still seems like a fun thing you can make for fun, having the narrator with centerprint. I might try it on singleplayer

just leaving this here

it's probably a bad idea to try and recreate it in blockland. make your own story with it.
