Author Topic: i have acid reflux :(  (Read 1053 times)

sometimes when I eat or drink certain things, i get acid reflux. it's that or heartburn and it sucks...

the whole thing is that mainly, it just feels like a burning sensation creeping up my throat and then just going away

when it's really my stomach acid coming up my throat. or something similar to that. it's not healthy and sometimes it creeps into my mouth and makes me feel like I'm going to barf. unfortunately, it won't give me the sweet relief of that.

I had this not too long ago from accidentally drinking a load of off milk.
The date was ok, but I blame the smart one who put it back in the fridge after it being left out for a couple of days.

Get some antacids.
I get heartburn quite a bit and they work well. They're recommended for Acid Reflux too, to settle the stomach.

Tablets are decent, but I find liquids, like Gaviscon, work best.

I don't have any right now that I know of, and it's 4 in the morning - I'm not going to wake up my parents.

i get this too from time to time
i generally just drink milk and it goes away

get some omeprazole magnesium

you have strong acid reflux so you need a strong base to neutralize it. I recommend sodium hydroxide, which is about as strong as it gets.

Caffeine

One cup of coffee or espresso a day is fine, but people who drink coffee all day long are courting reflux—if they don't have it already.

Try switching to chamomile, which is the best herbal tea, or you can have one cup of green tea a day if it is lightly brewed.

I go through sweet tea and green tea only occasionally. I take about a week to finish a large pitcher of sweet tea, and green tea with ginseng and honey I drink it every once in a while
