Author Topic: Animated PNGs are the best and you should use them  (Read 10185 times)

I'm trying really hard not to start a Chrome vs Firefox debate. Though saying that is probably gonna start one anyway.
good...job?

This image works but the spinning cube doesn't.
The cube is bigger than that. Avatars have to be 75x75 in order to be accepted.

I believe he is saying he can see the animation in the small TEST APNG image, but he can't see the animation in the cube.

then how does he know the cube is spinning?

cube looks static to me but all the other APNGs in the thread work

Okay, I made a definite test - this image should be an animated red loading bar - however, frame 0, set to not play, will display if your browser can't animate the image properly - that frame makes the bar a solid black.

The comparision is like so: (left: firefox; right: chrome)

No, you suck at reading. It says on the op that it only works on development versions.

It was probably just taking a while to load. Unless you didn't have the extension the first time, installed it, and then saw the other image?

nah I've had the extension for a few years now and every other APNG on the same page loaded. it was probably on the end of whoever's hosting the image.
