so today i went to the bank to open a new savings account, and close my old one
i did that, and they transferred the $200 from the old savings account to the new
BUT they forgot to remove the $200 from the old account
so i have $400 total

i dont think a bank is above taking it back if they figure it out. this isnt monopoly where banks can error in your favor.

i dont think so. but if they realize they forgeted up, they can take it back if they want. so i would wait, because a bank WOULD put you negative if they wanted lol.

In a lot of cases it takes time to actually show that it has been removed/relocated. It's usually pending until the information and transactions have been approved. Don't spend it unless you like a $200 debt.

I'd just hold on to the 200 bucks because the bank will take it back if they find out.
And when you don't have it they'll most likely find other way to get it back.

i think i read something about this same thing happening to a woman, but with something like $10k or something. She spent it all and was forced to pay it back with interest
