"authorities" (assuming this means authorities in professional writing contexts) object to the use of swearing too, except in writing stories, I'm sure, and not only is that something I'm sure
you do plenty of, but it's common in informal situations. also, those authorities have no say in social contexts. I'm really not sure what kind of authorities you were assuming it meant
