You guys do realize that their nuclear missiles might not be able to hit hawaii, but their army is gigantic and it'd turn into another Afghanistan? And that, North Korea, unlike us, won't go, "Oh, there's a school over there, let's try NOT to attack that area so we don't hurt people." They go, "Oh look, a school, bomb it, it'll help us win." This is a loving war guys, missiles aren't the only means of attack.

they would still have to get their transport ships for that army past the most powerful navy in the entire world

and considering china makes so much money from us there is no way they would allow north korea to interrupt US-China trade with a war

so then north korea would also have to worry about not only the US, plus NATO but also China's navy as well

and besides, the country is already so economically and politically isolated, that they are in a very unwise position to be making these threats when they don't hold any of the cards. the world really wouldnt be much different without North Korea on the map.
seriously, they act like a bunch of children

Please keep in mind while reading most of these quoted statistics, nearly 80% of the army is considered "enlisted" meaning they're IN the army, but they may not have had even a week's worth of training, just for the sake of being able to add them to the statistics of the size of their army. It'd be like the USA giving everyone a two hour class on safe driving and saying the whole country is filled with racecar drivers.

If that logic is true then, why don't they say the whole country is filled with racecar drivers?

We should be. As our good lord intended.

They hate the west over there. Watch the Vice documentary on North Korea, they do everything they can to call us filthy imperialists.
Well, you are muslim.

So is Homefront a possiblity now?

In 1991 the Iraq army was the 4th largest in the world and look what

The North Korean army consists of T-55s, Type-59s, T-62s, a domestic version of the T-62 with added on armor. None of those tanks are match for the M1A2 Abrams, Challenger 2, Leopard 2, and K1 tank in a one on one battle.

There SAMs can be jammed and destroy VIA wild weasel, the only threatening system they have might be the Russian TOR system and possibly any infrared guided missile system. Anything using a radar will be destroyed or jammed.

There infantry use copies of the aging AK47/AKM and use outdated maneuvers.

Blob tactics will only get them killed by faster by shrapnel weapons.

That being said, they can defend their country, however they couldn't attack the south as effectively without Chinese support.

north korea forgets that malnutrition does not a good soldier make
