Author Topic: Youtube now supports 60 FPS videos  (Read 7566 times)

idk what the forget you're talking about but almost all gamecube games run in 480p (60FPS) with the right cable

and a lot of N64 games ran in 240p (60FPS)

..and almost ALL consoles before it ran in some form of 60FPS too (SNES 240p, Genesis 144p, etc)
How the hell does the Xbox one then not manage 60fps

How the hell does the Xbox one then not manage 60fps
a combination of developer and consumer incompetence or high expectations in the wrong places (depending)

Well how the hell does Wii U manage 60FPS with inferior hardware?

How the hell does the Xbox one then not manage 60fps

It actually does, Battlefield Hardline will be in 60 fps on Xbox one I think

apparently it only works on html5

the people crying "i cant tell difference" arent actually seeing it in 60fps
http://youtu.be/bSpj3cgJsA8 I rendered this at 4k 60 fps, tried both settings and I didn't see a difference
am I doing something wrong

oh
I thought op claimed the video he linked was 60fps

lol
people thinking this actually makes a difference

You do realize that action movies use 24 fps and they look forgetin' fine.

this is the only video I can find that plays in 60 fps

everything else is like rendering the video at half speed and then using the speed option on the youtube player to speed it up, like this guy

also yesterday I made a video on ftl that was at 60 fps and it still looks like boring 30, even on 720p

They look okay. They would be entirely different affairs at 60fps. They would look good.

If you've ever watched TV with a stuffty projector that smoothens out the frames to give a "60" fps look, it's absolutely terrible, and makes the show almost look too real.
