Author Topic: I need a new headset  (Read 3017 times)

My current crappy Razer headset is dying, only one speaker or channel or whatever you call it is on at a time. This is annoying and is the mic is broken.

Recommend me a new headset BLF, but with a decent budget of around or less than $70.

Turtlebeach headsets

plantronics gamecom 780
it's my current headset, usb, 7.1 surround sound, and i absolutely love it
it's around $70 - $80

I've gone through 2 pairs of turtle beaches, both had amazing quality, I spent 60$ on each and they both broke within a year of using them.

Buy headphones and a microphone. If you're wanting quality and don't care about appearance, go for Sony MDR V6's (I have them, great monitoring headphones)

If you want good looks, go for a superlux hd 668b, you can find those for about $55
Go with a zalman microphone, they're like $8 and you can hook it up to the headphones
This is a good microphone, it has a low sensitivity and I'd recommend you buy it if you don't care about microphone quality.
Oh, trust me, gayming headsets aren't the most optimal. Years ago I had x12's and they died in months, bought another pear broke same month, then I gone through a series of other ones. Trust me, you'll get quality by buying both individually

I use a Razor Electra that I've had for some time. It's $50, if you still care for Razer.

Get a logitech whatever you do

i have a wireless afterglow headset
http://www.amazon.com/Afterglow-Universal-Wireless-Xbox-360-6304300630490063060006306200/dp/B009CL6LA6
but mine's green
afterglow is absolute trash, I've had one of their controllers and it broke. Its probably because it was marketed towards gaymers for their money
Get a logitech whatever you do
If you're dedicated on a headset, go with logitech. They have decent quality stuff but nothing will come near the quality of what I linked
I use a Logictech G230 headset
http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g230-stereo-gaming-headset
pretty good
cheap
had one, broke

afterglow is absolute trash, I've had one of their controllers and it broke.
controllers are different than headsets

controllers are different than headsets

yes because I want to wear led's

if you still want to get a gayming headset get a pair of Skullcandy Slayers

I've had mine for almost 2 years without issues

yes because I want to wear led's
you have the option to turn them off

unless these are different but the only difference from mine is that mine are green
mine are the exact same but green
