Author Topic: I need a new headset  (Read 3013 times)

if you still want to get a gayming headset get a pair of Skullcandy Slayers

I've had mine for almost 2 years without issues
is that a joke.

because skullcandy is plastic stuff.

yes because I want to wear led's

yeah!!1 i totally want to lok like daf punk!!!!11

But overall, I may go with Nal's suggestion or a Logitech G430.

you have the option to turn them off

unless these are different but the only difference from mine is that mine are green
the only reason I see to buy those is for gaymers to look like complete asshats and wear led's on their head
plus that plastic looks uncomfy as forget

that's why i turn mine off

and what plastic? the plastic on top? that's for some sort of support or strength, there's a thing for your head

mine have great build quality and no part of it I've ever had an issue or breakage with

their $80 headsets are much better than their cheap stuff $12 ear buds, seriously

Grado SR60i's are p good too
they aren't really good with noise cancellation though and they leak

I used earbuds since like ever, is there really that much of a difference with headset? like i know there is one, but how drastic is it.

depends on the earbuds

the difference is like night and day
sounds will be deeper and you'll be able to perceive direction and distance in games better

ok stop

you have no experience with the headsets you're talking stuff about so stop unless you've owned them before. stop going off the classic assumption that "oh wow all headsets are horsestuff!!"

they're not, I would prefer a gaming centered headset (my trittons) over my mdr v6s in game anyday. Headphones and gaming headsets are not equal

Buy headphones and a microphone. If you're wanting quality and don't care about appearance, go for Sony MDR V6's (I have them, great monitoring headphones)

If you want good looks, go for a superlux hd 668b, you can find those for about $55
Go with a zalman microphone, they're like $8 and you can hook it up to the headphones
This is a good microphone, it has a low sensitivity and I'd recommend you buy it if you don't care about microphone quality.
Oh, trust me, gayming headsets aren't the most optimal. Years ago I had x12's and they died in months, bought another pear broke same month, then I gone through a series of other ones. Trust me, you'll get quality by buying both individually
the superlux is better than the V6 comfort and cleanliness wise unless you mod the V6

its also cheaper

but personally I'd say go with an Audio-Technica AT2020 and an AKG Q701 if you want utmost perfection at a modest price
