"Crux, Turtle, leakers in weeds harassing naval port, 11 o'clock low, gate and commit," I say, turning my aircraft toward port.

"Mjolnir 1-2 committing to leakers in weeds attacking the port."

I fly up behind a Jaguar and let off a split second of gunfire, trying to find my exact aim.

Obrad flys above a jaguar, then quickly descends and locks onto an enemy, firing a missile.
The missile blows the tailfin to pieces, but the plane itself remains in the air. The pilot releases a hilariously late flare and attempts to maneuver away from you.

I fly up behind a Jaguar and let off a split second of gunfire, trying to find my exact aim.
Inky black clouds of flak appear above the Jaguar's starboard side, thoroughly spooking the pilot and peppering his wing with shrapnel. He begins taking evasive maneuvers. As this happens, his wingman gets on your tail and opens fire on you with his cannon, disabling your left horizontal stabilizer. Maneuverability has been reduced slightly, making it much more difficult to shake this guy without outside assistance.

Hurricane, aren't you supposed to be our leader's wingman?

I put in an inquiry for available electronic warfare craft in storage.

I launch a short range missile to try and get the plane off of 1-2.

Being closer to Crux, I fire off flak fire at the attacker in the Sandwich maneuver that Crux is in. "Crux, Immelmenn!" I say as a lock on and fire a missile at the attacker.

"Turtle, come off come off, get him off me! Mjolnir 1-2 defending!"

I rip off one cannot burst as I pull up, maybe I'll get a futile hit. The aircraft decides to roll awkwardly to the right, not too too much, just ever so slightly. I split from the bandit and turn hard left after pulling up.

"Crux left vertical stabilizer bent, defending,"

I firewall the throttle. MiGs are faster than Jags after all.

Can AGMs attack ships in this or no.

Can AGMs attack ships in this or no.

what do you think air-to-surface missiles are for?

yeah you can, but the Phalanx CIWS guns would probably take them out if you don't hit them low.

There's a difference between AGMs and anti-ship missiles.

three air-cushioned landing craft on the move.

I don't think Qwepir wants you to shoot at ground targets, unless you've already let the landing ships get to the shipyard.

These might not be in the AO yet.

No one has anti-ship missiles. I'm guessing to Qwepir right now for the sake of the RP it's all the same. I just want to make sure.

AGMs count for anti-ship operations.

You don't have flak. You have a heavy cannon.
Swat 3 (Mirage 4000)

Mirage 4000
Heavy Aerial Cannon
4x HSM
8X AGM
2x Flares
Regardless, you miss, and the enemy pilot seems unfazed, continuing to tail Crux. He fires off another burst, damaging the starboard aileron. Crux's maneuverability is now severely hampered.

"Crux, Immelmenn!" I say as a lock on and fire a missile at the attacker.
The enemy drops flares and breaks hard to port. The missile goes for the bait, but Crux is no longer being tailed.

I rip off one cannot burst as I pull up, maybe I'll get a futile hit.
A flak burst materializes immediately above the Jaguar's roosterpit, and the plane stops maneuvering, slowly losing altitude. It's not hard to guess what just happened.

Oracle: "Heads up, We've got more naval contacts entering the AO. Three more corvettes and a trio of hovercraft, bearing 190 degrees and moving fast. The corvettes are launching helos, they'll be all over the naval yard any minute."

Current enemy forces in the AO:
5 SEPECAT Jaguar strike craft
1 Naval Frigate
6 Littoral Combat Ships
3 Transport Hovercraft
3 Tiger Attack Helicopters

Okay look, I'm not an aviation dork of the same caliber as Gojira or xxxxkill. When they're running the missions you can have all the masturbatory munition material you want, but when I'm running one there are "Anti-Surface" missiles that are only for boats and tanks and such, and "Anti-Air" missiles that are only for airplanes and helicopters and cruise missiles and rocket ships. Maybe later things will get really funky and you can have radar-guided or dual-purpose missiles or whatever.

"How is the transport division doing with those C-130s?" I chat with a mechanic in the hangar while I work on one of the wings of my Hornet.

"It's the same-old stuff, Vic."
"Really? I thought they were having some trouble with the parts that were shipped over in the latest batch."
The mechanic hands me a can of oil. "Ugh, it's just a minor issue, we've ordered a replacement batch from logistics."
I finish oiling the wing and give the mechanic the can as I climb down the ladder. "Well, see you later." The mechanic walks out of the hangar. I wipe some sweat from my brow as I sit down in a folding chair, next to a cheap-looking metal table with a cup of coffee on top.

"We need more friendlies." I say as I break port, firing at him the moment I could before performing a maneuver to get back on his tail.

"forget, I refuse to be shot down to an inferior aircraft!" I say in the roosterpit.

I pull hard and engage afterburner, climbing at 90°. Correcting the roll is extremely hard, the right aileron is out.

"Mjolnir 1-2, I'm bugging out, RTB, Oracle, home plate alpha check?"

I notice the the aircraft isn't accelerating like it should, in fact, it's ever so slowly loosing airspeed. I frantically claw at the button that jettisons all unused ordnance. The plane lurches forward and picks up speed again, even in the 90° climb. The missiles, and unused ordnance all falls away.
