I hop off my bunk and head out the door. There is a hallway that leads to on row of hangers. I take it and enter the first hanger. There are already two other guys in here, the two that left the barracks. Inside Mirages sit in the artificial light. I begin looking for my plane.

"Hey, uh, your plane is right next to mine."
I point to the aircraft labeled "LT. LOBODA 1-2"

uh guys what year are we in

uh guys what year are we in

It is the seventh month out of twelve, the twenty-third day, of the year 9802 Post-Landing.
Technological advancement is equivalent to between 2020-2030 AD.
There is a lot of backstory behind the dating that I don't care to get into.

present day

brother you ain't writing for this thread.

uhm then why are we flying a jet made in 1950's

Because budget constraints in a war that's been going on for like nineteen years.

You'll get a plane from like the 1990s in like two missions just calm down spEAKING OF MISSIONS I SHOULD PROBABLY USHER ONE IN

[Time: 0755, Valhalla Airbase, 7/24/9802]

The airbase intercom crackles to life as a message is broadcast through the facility.
"Mjolnir team report to Hangar 1 for first takeoff. Mjolnir team report to Hangar 1 for first takeoff."
Sounds important.

CURRENT OBJECTIVE:
Become acquainted with your fellow pilots of Mjolnir Team.
Settle yourself into your bunks.

Report to bunker and see what the message was about because it's not like I've stated it already.

"Better suit up." I say, putting my g-suit on.

I open up my duffle bag and put my G-Suit on, and after i'm finished with that, I loosely put on my helmet and oxygen mask and climb into the roosterpit.
"Here we go."

Obrad puts on his G-Suit and walks to Hangar-1, putting on his oxygen mask/helmet and hopping into the roosterpit.

I do a quick pre-flight check after I climb into the roosterpit of my plane, before putting on my helmet and mask. "Radio check, everything good?"
