¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That could've gone better.

My vision returns a little bit slower this time around. I look at the front console. The HUD and MFD begin flickering. APU's fried. Engine's on fire. By some fluke however, the oil and hydraulic pressure readings still seem fine. Could be malfunctioning though. I look behind me. Can't find the Sabre.

My first instinct is to cut the power and pull the fire extinguisher. Not sure if it had much of an effect, since the OVERTEMP light is still on.

I pull the emergency canopy release and the ejection seat lever. Huh? Ejection seat's not working.

I continue falling for a few more moments, pondering my next move. I don't see any roads. The ocean slowly comes into view. Ditch? Doesn't look like I have much of a choice if I want to live. Holy stuff, the wind is so loud I can hardly hear myself think.

The Mirage manages to glide on idle power for the rest of the trip to the ocean. Coming up on the last dozen feet or so, I pitch up just enough to bring the vertical speed down to about an inch per second.

I hit the throttle and fire a salvo of unguided rockets at the LAV and a burst of cannon fire when I get within gun range. "Hey Cap, take care of the LAV if I don't get it, alright?"

The radar screen is showing one remaining enemy aircraft, but the Captain's plane seems to be the only other allied plane within the operation area. I pitch my aircraft towards the Sabre and hit the throttle. I clutch the canopy's roof grab handle with my free hand as my aircraft turns towards the Sabre.

"What the-"
I barely manage to catch Rye. I stand him up, and have him continue walking to the mess hall.

You get it.

Enemy forces in the area:
1x SI-32 Sabre

"Thunder, what's your status? We're down to two aircraft."

I check the position of the Sabre, arming my weapons. This is going to get tough.

"Try to lure it away from me. Get it on the run, pass by me, and I'll lock on with a heatseeker when they least expect it!"

Thunder is the callsign of the paratrooper team

obrad is telling you what to do since there is still one sabre in the air
he knows his callsign isnt thunder

"Thunder, what's your status? We're down to two aircraft."
"We've remotely switched the tracks further down the line and are about to be heading home. Thanks for the assist, Mjolnir Flight."

Radar shows that the Sabre is currently behind you and closing fast.

"Basket, basket, he's right behind me! I need assistance now!"

I dump a heatseeker at the Sabre and activate my afterburners again, breaking towards the Captain's A-10. "Fox 2!"

It drops flares and rolls away from the missile before pulling up directly above Obrad's craft and matching his speed. Looking up from your roosterpit, you can see that there's only about a meter of distance between your canopy and his undercarriage. He pushes down on the stick ever so slightly, and the distance between you two begins to close unsettlingly quickly.

"forget! He's above me and coming down!"
Obrad quickly banks right, going downwards slightly.

There goes my chance of an easy shot gg
